INDIANA 3, BYU 0
PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico - The Hoosiers leave Mexico with a perfect 4-0 record. Today’s win is thanks, in part, to the right arm of Jenae Berry, who missed barrels all game, in route to victory.
Indiana plated their first run of the game early. Melina Wilkison started off the game with an infield single. She then stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error of the catcher.
The Hoosiers added on to the lead in the top of the 4th inning with a two RBI single to left field, off the bat of Kinsey Mitchell, scoring Sarah Stone and Taylor Minnick.
BYU was held hitless by Berry until a 4th inning single from Ilove'a Brittingham. Berry was able to handle the 4th inning threat to maintain the shutout. Berry ended the day with six innings pitched, four hits, no runs, striking out one.
Berry allowed a baserunner to start the 7th and was replaced by Brianna Copeland, who struck out the side to end it.
BYU plays again at 5:00PM EST, in their final game in PV. Indiana can be seen Thursday at the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic, in Lubbock, Texas.
