Boise State 18, Florida International 1
PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – Boise State ended its Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in convincing fashion, with an 18-1 victory over Florida International in the last game of the 2025 second session.
The Broncos batted around the order in the top of the first inning, scoring six runs, and never slowed down throughout the game. Hitting in the nine hole, Chloe Hughes, an All-Tournament selection, went 3-for-3 and drove in seven runs. For the tournament, she hit 8-for-10 with eight RBIs.
Hughes was joined on the All-Tournament team by Megan Lake, who also went 3-for-3 on the night with three RBIs, and Session #2 Co-MVP Sophia Knight, who went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple and two RBIs.
In total, Boise State racked up 19 hits and had eight extra base hits.
Florida International scored its lone run of the evening when Kally Meredith, an All-Tournament selection, doubled down left field in the bottom of the second inning.
